Rachelle was born & raised in Joplin, MO. She currently resides in Laramie, WY where she has a studio in her home. She is currently developing a new collection, as well as doing custom work & alterations for locals.

 

Rachelle Rose is a graduate of New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Fashion Design.  She has worked in the clothing industry her entire life, with years of retail experience stemming from her family business, TJ Formal.  She managed the Charleston, SC branch of TJ Formal.  She has designed custom garments for Singer/Songwriters, Jordan Igoe & Elise Testone as well as custom evening & wedding gowns.

 

Artist Statement

 

My design philosophy focuses on the modern working woman. With functionality as the main focus, I strive to create unique, playful and wearable clothing with a traveler in mind. Comfort with a modern appeal.

 

I create original clothing for women as well as reconstructing vintage garments into my own creations.  I drape the garments, create my own patterns & sew.  I also sell vintage clothing, as it is a passion of mine to reuse and recycle.  

 

Eco Prints are my newest endeavor.  Natural dyes on silk and wool scarves create unique prints.  No two prints are ever the same.
